I got to thinking that since the festival is open to all, it wouldn't hurt for you to go see the parade and join the fun. A little exposure to "diversity" might do you good.

I dont have anything against gays, I just dont happen to be one and really dont have any interest in being a part of something like that.

It is partially. I've met some gay people that are very nice, I've worked with some that are complete assholes. I've just never really been friends or anything with someone who is gay, so I havent been exposed to the gay lifestyle that much.
I dont feel the need to join in on the festivities of something like this that really has nothing to do with me or my life. I hope they all have a great time and that it's a success, but I wont be part of it because I'm not part of "the culture of it".
Like I said, I have nothing against gays, just really dont have any interest in the whole gay thing. To each his or her own.
